What dress sizes do you stock?
At any time wedding dresses in stock will range from a size 8-16. If there is a particular dress listed that you would like to try and are unsure if it is the right size please get in touch with us and we can give you guidance. We can alter dresses down by a few sizes, so if there's a dress you see but it's too big it's very possible we can alter it to fit! Our couture wedding dresses can be made to fit any size as they are designed, made and altered in-house.
How much in advance of my wedding do I need to order my dress?
We have a range of ready-to-wear designer dresses which are available to take away on the day of your consultation. This is a great option for brides with little time until their wedding or those that don't want the stress of ordering and waiting for their wedding dress months in advance! We also make couture pieces which can be designed from scratch or chosen from our range; please note that all made-to-order pieces will need to be ordered between a minimum of 3-6 months before your wedding.
What if my wedding dress doesn’t fit?
Most brides need to have their wedding dress altered in order to achieve the right fit; commonly this will involve taking it in and shortening the hem (length). We offer an in-house alterations service; please note availability depends on the time of year and our busier periods. If there are any style changes you would like to make to a dress you find with us that you love (such as lowering a neckline or adding a cap sleeve), we are happy to discuss what is possible at your consultation.
Where can I buy Betty Gets Hitched bridal accessories?
You can purchase our beautiful range of bridal accessories such as veils, headpieces and bridal belts through our online shop. All of our bridal veils, capes and headpieces are made in-house and take 1-2 weeks to ship as they are made to order, so we recommend ordering your accessories in plenty of time before your wedding! If you would like to try on any of our bridal accessories, please contact us to book a one-to-one accessories consultation at our studio in North London.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes, as we work on an appointment only basis from our studio in North London. If you would like to try on wedding dresses or bridal accessories please contact us using the consultation request form.
Am I able to bring guests to my consultation?
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions in England, we are allowing brides to bring up to one guest with them for bridal consultations only once we reopen appointments on the 12th of April 2021. Please note your chosen guest must be within your household or support bubble. For all fittings as you have already chosen your dress and in order minimise risk with the current pandemic all brides must attend alone.
What should I bring with me to my consultation?
Please bring a good fitting strapless bra with you preferably in a skin tone or light colour and any shapewear you may want to wear on the day. Shoes can be provided although you are welcome to bring a pair if you know the heel height you will be wearing on your wedding day.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards (including American Express) and cash. Please note all ready-to-wear dresses must be paid in full upon purchase, as you will take your dress away with you on the day.
Do you accept returns?
All ready-to-wear wedding dresses are sold at a discounted price on RRPs, and are non-returnable and non-refundable after purchase. We encourage brides to be 100% sure before making their decision and to check over your dress before purchasing, as we are then confident that you will be happy with your chosen wedding dress. For made-to-order couture wedding dresses, bridal separates and accessories we take a 50% non-refundable deposit.
